Nancy

  • Employee Only coverage

  • Generally healthy with some allergies

  • Has a family history of skin cancer

Nancy would be best off in the Aetna Managed Choice PPO+HSA plan.

  • She benefits from both low paycheck contributions and the automatic HSA contribution she receives from Enjoy.

  • Under the Aetna Managed Choice PPO+HSA plan, she receives an automatic HSA contribution from Enjoy, and she can build a savings account to use for future medical expenses.

  • Under the Aetna Managed Choice PPO+HSA plan, she can choose to see out-of-network providers and still receive coverage (at a lower coverage level than in-network).

  • Employee Only coverage

  • Generally healthy and enjoys hiking and playing sports with friends on the weekend

  • Has to visit an emergency room in 2022

  • He’s interested in saving money on a tax advantaged basis

Jim would be best off in the Aetna EPO or Kaiser HMO plan or the Aetna Managed Choice PPO+HSA plan.

  • Under the Aetna Managed Choice PPO+HSA plan, he benefits from low monthly contributions. Although he uses up the entire contribution in 2022, he has an opportunity to build a savings account to use for future medical expenses.
