Is taking public transit or paying for parking a part of your daily work commute? You can pay for either with pre-tax dollars and save money!

Enjoy Commuter Benefits is an employer-owned, tax-advantaged spending account (administered through Wex, previously Discovery Benefits) for public transit or parking as part of your daily commute to work. Funds rollover from month to month.

Qualifying expenses for transit services include subways, buses, ferries, commuter rail, and vanpools.

Commuter benefits do not expire. They rollover from month to month, and year to year, as long as you’re at the same company – funds are forfeited at employment separation.

 

You can enroll, change, or cancel commuter benefits at any time. However, there is a monthly deadline for making updates. If you miss it, you will have to wait until the following month.
